2006 Monument Run
![]()
On April 29th, 9 members (and one guest) from the South Central Texas Chapter met up with 12 members from the San Antonio Chapter and headed to Baytown, TX. We were on a mission to meet with the other chapters of our Club so that we could all make a run on the monument for picture taking, and then hanging out together, which is a rare occasion since we are spread out across the state. The weather wasn't too bad as we took off from Seguin, but got worse the closer we got to Houston. We met up with Race (National Sgt. of Arms) in Katy and he led us through Houston, with more rain, over to meet the rest of our brothers and sisters. After a short visit we all headed over to the San Jacinto monument. We had one accident immediately after pulling out, and although two members suffered bike damage, their physical injuries were treated right there and they were later seen having a drink together. We can be very thankful that is was not worse.
