2009 River Rat Run

The fourth annual River Rat Run was held at Mountain Breeze Camp on River Road in New Braunfels, TX on September 11th thru 13th, 2009.  We were fortunate to have the Comal County SJHR chapter join us this year as co-hosts of this annual event.  You can check them out by going to www.comalcountysjhr.com.  This year's proceeds will benefit both the Guadalupe County and Comal County Children's Advocacy Centers.

This year's event was exciting, to say the least!!!  Last year Hurricane Ike, and this year the most rain we have had at one time in two years!!  It is very hard for us to complain about the rain, as we have been in the worst drought ever, and needed the rain so desperately.  The weather may have limited our crowd, but it did not limit their generosity one bit.   The attendants at this year event made it one of our best so far.  Although the totals are not in yet, it appears that we raised more money this year than ever, and we cannot thank those that generously helped us to accomplish this.  You are all true angels.

Our biggest success this year was our "Big Ticket" raffle, and it was big!!  The winner of the motorcycle was Matt

We are still working out all the logistics for this event, but should have them all figured out soon!  Keep checking the website for updates.
