On July 9, 2005, we held our second event, High Rollers Ride for Kids. This time it was held at True Blue Roadhouse in La Vernia. Our benefit was originally intended to donate the funds raised to children in our tri-county area, however as the event approached, we found out about a young girl who needed our help. In the end, we donated all proceeds to Ariana Cook. Ariana is a fun loving 8 year old who has Diffused Brainstem Glioma. The only treatment that may help her is Antineoplaston Therapy. This research study could also help thousands of future cancer victims. A significant number of patients treated have been in remission for 5 years or more, even though they had been pronounced incurable or terminal. The procedure cost $115,000.00 and is not covered by most insurance.
Donations can also be made to the following:

At last contact, Adriana was doing fine. Please keep her in your prayers.

On June 17, 2006, we held our third event, the Martinez Benefit. This time it was held at Family Tradition in McQueeney. Our beneficiary was the Martinez Family. In March of 2006, they were involved in a tragic auto accident, in which the mother (Jo Ann Martinez) and step-father were killed. The two daughters, Savannah (9 years old) and Amanda (8 years old) were both injured. Savannah's leg was broken in three places, and after surgery and rehabilitation, she is doing good. Amanda's injury were more serious. She was internally decapitated. She has had to have several surgeries and spent quite a while in rehab at Warm Springs. She is home now, and adjusting to her new life. The girls are now with their real father, Julian Martinez and his wife Belinda, who are struggling to make the best of the situation.
Rain threatened the event, but we still had 20 bikes participate in the run. We had a huge turn out to participate in the events held at Family Tradition, such as the bikini car wash, the dunking booth, the Live Auction and we sold a lot of barbeque plates. A large group stayed around for the band that night, and enjoyed the music by the Blooz Burnerz. At the end of the day, we presented the family with a check for $3035.00, and are still collecting more donations.

The first annual 2006 River Rat Run was held at Mountain Breeze Camp on River Road in New Braunfels, TX on September 22nd - 24th. We had close to 400 people and 20 vendors show up to help us make a very nice donation for the Children's Advocacy Center of Comal County. The CACCC is a group who helps physically and sexually abused children. This was our first attempt at a multi-day event, and we were so pleased with the outcome, that it will become an annual event now!
On Friday, 9/22 we offered participants a free barbeque chicken plate, live music by "The Crossing" of New Braunfels and a wet T-Shirt contest. A good time was had by all. On Saturday, 9/23 our fun run started at 10:00 AM. The riders stopped at 6 local clubs that support bikers on a regular basis. 99% of the feedback we received regarding the fun run were positive! Our National VP, Cash won with the best hand, and donated most of prize back to our charity and our national charity. We held bike games, the slow race and a new one called "Drive By". Everyone seemed to enjoy the games. Our acting president, EZ was the winner of the slow race. Saturday night our first band, Texas Power Trio, started at 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, the rain only let them play 4 songs....but those four songs sounded great! At 9:00 PM, the Blooz Burnerz were scheduled to play, and after several starts and stops because of the rain, they proved the point of "The show must go on"! They were awesome as usual. Sunday morning we were blessed with services provided by Crusaders for Christ. The singing was great and the service was inspiring.
We would like to shout a very big 'THANK YOU" to all who attended. Without each and everyone of you, we could not have done it. We hope to see you all next year!

The second annual River Rat Run was again held at Mountain Breeze Camp on River Road in New Braunfels, TX on September 21st thru 23rd, 2007. We were anticipating an even bigger crowd than 2006, and you did not let us down! About 600 people passed through the gates to help us support the Guadalupe County Children's Advocacy Center.
Three Man Front provided some awesome music on Friday and Bad Boys Barbeque Team handed out a free dinner as long as it lasted. Superstar (& friends) provided a new event this year, Kid's Activities, and it was a huge success!! Our fun run was attended by a large amount of bikes and the bikes games were again a lot of fun. Stone Souls provided an incredible night of great music, and the wet T-shirt contest held Saturday night was "standing room only"!
We raised more money than last year, and were able to present the Guadalupe County Children's Advocacy Center with a sizeable check. They were very appreciative! Again, a very big "THANK YOU" to all of you attended and donated!

Shortly after the 2007 River Rat was over, we became aware of a family in New Braunfels who needed some help. They were taking care of numerous children who were in the Foster Care program, and Christmas was looking very bleak. Our members not only solicited different businesses in our community, but purchased gifts themselves for these children. Choirmaster dressed as Santa, we were able to borrow a sleigh from Bubba of Bubba's Deck in New Braunfels and our President, and EZ pulled the sleigh behind his bike over to the house for a surprise visit. The kids were so thrilled to have us roar up on our bikes, with Santa as an added bonus! We were able to insure that each child received several gifts and the smiles on their faces enabled all of us to appreciate the true meaning of Christmas.

In April of 2008, our brother Choirmaster found himself facing some very harsh realities. His wife, Sandy's health started deteriorating quickly. There were many trips to the hospital and unfortunately a stroke that left Choirmaster to realize that a nursing home was the only option. All of this took a great toll on him, not only emotionally, but financially as well. We rallied around him, and had a one day event, with a fun run, barbeque plate sale, auctions, face painting and raffles. We were able to help him out with some of the expenses and had a very good time too!
Unfortunately, we do not currently have any pictures of this event. If you have some, get them to Floozie!

The third annual River Rat Run was held at Mountain Breeze Camp on River Road in New Braunfels, TX on September 12th thru 14th, 2008. This year proceeds will benefit both the Guadalupe County and Comal County Children's Advocacy Centers. In spite of Hurricane Ike, we were still able to raise some money for them again this year. Hurricane Ike was a real threat to us up until the day before. Things may not have gone exactly as we had hoped and planned, but we have some very loyal supporters, and they pulled through great! We want to send our thoughts and prayers to our Brothers and Sisters in the Houston area, who were directly affected by Ike. We hope that you all recover soon, and we look forward to seeing all of you in 2009.
We should be making a presentation soon, watch for the update!
